Location Sync
Pull floor plans, AP placements, and related data for a targeted deployment scope.

Choose a focused scope #
After initial onboarding, open the tenant and use the Hierarchy Explorer to select the campus or building that is the focus of the deployment. A focused sync limits map, device-placement, and related collection to the selected branch instead of loading unnecessary data for the entire tenant.
Sync Spaces data #
- Select the target campus or building in the location hierarchy.
- Open Data Sync and select Sync Spaces Data.
- Confirm that Location scope contains the selected location ID.
- Paste a current Cisco Spaces sys-token.
- Select Include floor plans.
- Start the sync and wait for validation, collection, and normalized-model ingestion to complete.
- Review the selected branch and confirm that its floors, maps, AP inventory, and device placements are available.
Keep the scope targeted
Sync the smallest location branch that covers the deployment. Data outside the selected hierarchy branch is not part of this targeted collection.
