Why mapping is required #
Cisco Spaces and Pointr maintain independent location hierarchies. Before a floor can be compared or synchronized, WaSense must know which Spaces floor maps to which Pointr site, building, and level.
Suggestions and review #
Mapping Review loads the floors in the selected Spaces scope and presents the current mapping, a predicted mapping, and editable identifiers. Predictions are a starting point; confirm them before running floor-level Pointr analysis or writes.
Mapping states #
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Matched | A usable Pointr site, building, and level has been identified. |
| Ambiguous | More than one plausible level was found and review is required. |
| Unmatched | No acceptable Pointr level could be identified. |
| Manual | An editor explicitly selected and saved the mapping. |
